Oak Wood School

Welcome from Mr Curley, Head of Sixth Form

Thank you for your interest in Oak Wood Sixth Form. At Oak Wood students are at the heart of everything we do, we view our sixth form as the first step on your way to a successful career of your choice. We offer a range of options at our sixth form and are able to support you whether taking A levels or Vocational Qualifications. The majority of our students go onto university with a growing number going to Russell Group institutions.

We treat all students as individuals and support them to achieve their future aspirations through high quality lessons and tutorials. Students have one to one support with experienced tutors who can guide them to reach their full potential. We have fantastic facilities with a dedicated area exclusively for sixth form students.

Our aims are for all students at Oak Wood to have an exciting and well rounded experience in their Post 16 education. We offer many different educational visits, clubs and activities throughout the academic year. Our expectation is that students will rise to the challenges of sixth form and provide support as a mentor for younger students, either on the mentor programme or as a subject role model.

We hope that you have enjoyed exploring our website and look forward to receiving your application.
